All About Travis Tritt

Travis Tritt is an American country artist from Marietta, Georgia. He learned to play guitar at eight years old and as a teenager would write songs and perform at his church and at school. Tritt began recording demos which would eventually lead to his signing with Warner Bros. Records in 1987 when he was 24 years old. From there he recorded another 6 song demo for the record label which launched his career. His first single “Country Club” spent 26 weeks on the Hot Country Singles chart and his second single “Help Me Hold On” became his first number one. His third, fourth and fifth singles all also charted, landing him the award for “Top New Male Artist” from Billboard in 1990.

Since then, Tritt has released 10 studio albums and has had four other number 1 hit singles. He has won several awards including three ‘Vocal Event of the Year’ Awards for his songs “This One’s Gonna Hurt You”, “I Don’t need Your Rockin’ Chair” and “Honky Tonkin’s What I Do Best” at the Country Music Awards, as well as two Grammy Awards for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals in 1992 and 1999. Along with his music, Tritt has a lot of experience in acting, appearing in 27 different TV shows and Films from 1990 to 2018. Travis Tritt joins ALABAMA and Diamond Rio this summer as the first ever headlining acts at the Big Sky Music Festival!
